step one: waist
high waisted fit:
Wrap a tape measure around your natural waistline. Slightly above your belly button.
*the smallest part of your torso*
mid rise fit:
Wrap a tape measure around the top of your high hip bone
step two: hips (high & low)

Wrap a tape measure around the start of your hip bone
*take two fingers and push into your torso to find the top of your hip bone*
low hip
Wrap a tape measure around the largest part of your hips/butt
*make sure your feet are together*
step three: booty
Booty Measurement
Make sure you are not wearing clothing and your feet are together. Wrap a measuring tape around the widest portion of your hips. Pull the tape measure for a snug fit.
step four: thigh
Thigh
Wearing no clothing - wrap your tape measure around the widest portion of your thigh. Pull as snug as you want the denim to fit. For a looser fit, make sure there is substantial room between your leg and the measuring tape.
step five: inseam
inseam
Take your favorite pair of pants and lay them down on the floor. Measure the distance from the groin to the bottom of the pant.
*for a longer fit add two inches*
